FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...

"How do I know what size to ask for?"
Check your cars user manual or look at the current tyres. Look for the large numbers embossed on the side of the tyre. It should look something like 195 / 65 R 15 W. This will give all the information that we need to quote you a great price for matching tyres.

"Do I need a new tyre?"
The legal requirement is that the tyre tread grooves must be at least 1.6mm deep in the middle three quarters of the tyre, all the way round. 2mm is normally better for handling wet conditions. Some cars are recommended to have a greater tread depth, and this should be stated in your handbook. If you are not sure, then just ask us to take a look for you.

"Can I check my own tyres?"
Of course. Really you should be doing this anyway and you should be able to find the best instructions for your particular car in the Owner's Manual. But if you are not sure, just phone and ask us.

"What do I do with the old tyres?"
Just leave them with us and we will dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way.

"Do my tyres need balanced?"
If your steering starts to wobble above a certain speed then one cause could be that the wheels need balanced. We do this as part of fitting a new tyre but we can check your wheels even if the tyres are OK. Please just ask us.
